GAiN has a distribution warehouse in Sleeuwijk where clothes and other goods are collected, sorted and saved. Goods from all over the country are picked up by a van and with our big black trailer we transport the goods to places where these can have a second destination.
What does GAiN collect?
GAiN collects clothes, lines and incontinence products. Next to that, many other goods are collected. Individuals can deliver these at collection points. Large quantities or interesting sets of goods could be picked up by GAiN. If necessary, please contact the department of logistics.
Collection of clothes
You could drop off goods on approximately thirty addresses in the Netherlands. Collected clothes are sorted by volunteers. Subsequently the major part is transported in boxes to Eastern Europe and disaster areas. The clothes can be reused in these areas. Your clothes are a donation in kind and therewith provides opportunities to share the gospel in the countries it is transported to.
Click on the map to zoom. There are also approximately 200 collection points in Germany and Austria. You can look these up on the website of GAiN Germany.

Looking for collection points
We are continually seeking for people to manage a collection point. The requirements are not many: a dry and clean space of at least 10m2 is sufficient. A garage box, shack or place where a GAiN-container could be placed is a suitable place.
Logistic numbers of 2014
- 414.175 kg of goods received
- With a value of € 1.079.842
- 31 transports with relief goods
- 86 volunteers and 30 collection points
Contact with businesses
Goods storage often costs time and money. GAiN has many contacts with Dutch suppliers and companies which want to get rid of their goods. We pick up the goods and find an adequate destination for it. The supplier is happy to have it removed, the receiver is grateful for the help and GAiN is glad to be the mediator in this process.
Transport of goods
Goods are regularly transported to Eastern Europe, for example to Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Ukraine. Businesses sometimes contribute to the costs of fuel or lend us a truck. Drivers voluntarily give their experience and possibilities to drive to Eastern Europe; a journey which often takes more than five days.
